BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT

MOTHER STELLA M. WATSON
JURISDICTIONAL SUPERVISOR
DEPARTMENT OF WOMEN
Mother Stella M. Watson is a native of Daingerfield, Texas. She began serving the Lord at an early age as a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Daingerfield, Texas. She is a third generation member of the Church of God in Christ. She is the wife of Elder Paul L. Watson, Sr., for over 30 years and the mother of two, Paul L. Watson, Jr. and Priscilla L. Watson Hill. Mother Watson is the First Lady of Greater St. Matthew Church of God in Christ in Dallas, Texas.
At the local church level, Mother Watson has served as a Pastor’s wife at House of Prayer COGIC in Ansbach, Germany and Hour of Prayer COGIC in Vilseck, Germany, as President of several auxiliaries to include the Young Women’s Christian Council, Missionary Circle, Hospitality Committee, Prayer and Bible Band, and Sewing Circle over the years. She has also served these same auxiliaries as President at the District and Jurisdictional levels. Additionally, she has served the church as a Superintendent’s wife, a District Missionary and as the Jurisdictional Secretary. She is a graduate of the Kentucky School of Business, she has a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, a Masters in Biblical Counseling, and a Doctrine of Arts in Christian Women's Counseling from Rockville University in Sarasota, Florida.
Missionary Stella M. Watson was appointed as the Supervisor, Department of Women, Germany Jurisdiction in August 1992 during the 15th Annual Holy Convocation by the Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Carlis L. Moody, Sr. Mother Watson always had a dream of working full time for the church. Since that time, Mother Watson serves at the National level as a member of the Executive Board, member of the Steering Committee of the International Women’s Convention, as the Secretary of the National Program Committee of the Department of Women, and as the Assistant Executive Officer of the Finance Committee.
Mother Watson would like to encourage the people of God to never stop dreaming. She says, “Don’t try to understand everything, some things will just never make sense.” She lives her life by the adage, “never be afraid to try to make things better, you might be surprised at the results.”
In closing, Mother Stella M. Watson gives God all the glory. In her words, “all that I am
. . . I owe it all to the Lord.” She is a leader among Leaders.
