Mother Carolyn A. Royster was born to Calvin and Maude Venable in Petersburg, Va on March 02, 1950. She is a twin to William Venable. She was reared by her grandmother, Susie Rogers, on a farm in Skipwith, Va. She was married to Keister Royster February 10, 1968, in Boydton , Va. Their union has been blessed with three sons, Keith, Derrick and Michael and three daughters-in-law. They have 14 grandchildren.
Mother Royster was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost in July 1980 at Holy Light Holiness Church Falls Church, Va. During her husband's tour of duty at Fort Hood, Tx., she attended Pentecostal Experience Holiness Church in Copperas Cove, Tx. She served, faithfully, on the 'Usher Board', 'Youth Department', and in the Prison Ministry.
Upon her arrival in Germany in September 1985, she attended the Abundant Life, COGIC where Elder Gray was the pastor. She has served on the Mother's Board, as Purity Lady, on the 'Hospitality Committee, and as a member of the Choir. Since being born into the Church of God in Christ, she has served under Supervisor Dorothy Pulliam, as Usher Board President and Assistant Purity Lady and under Supervisor Angela Shoates, Purity Lady President. She was appointed Church Mother of Abundant Life in 1995. Since the appointment of Supervisor Mother Stella M. Watson, God has blessed her to serve as 'President of Special Projects', 'Executive Board President', Assistant to the Supervisor', and Correspondent Course Coordinator'.
She was appointed the District Missionary of District 3 with Superintendent Charles Burr. She has served with Superintendent Arlee Robinson, Superintendent Perry Hill and, presently, with Superintendent Paul Watson.
Mother Royster loves the Lord and God's people with all her heart. God has kept her through the years and strengthen her through many trials. She, still, has joy! When she thinks of the goodness of Jesus, she can, truly, say "Jesus, I will never forget what you have done for me".
